The new partnership with Manchester MetMUnch at Manchester Metropolitan University will be delivered by Haleh Moravej, senior lecturer in Nutritional Sciences at the university, and will provide up to 10 minutes support by phone to enable Anxiety UK members to learn tips about how to eat healthily to help manage any anxiety.

Anxiety UK’s Chief Executive Nicky Lidbetter said: “We’re delighted to launch this exciting new project with Haleh, MetMUnch and MMU as we know there is growing evidence of the direct link to our mental wellbeing and what we eat.

“We expect this to be the first phase of what promises to be a valuable addition to the support and services that we offer our members and we hope to make some further announcements about this in the near future.

Haleh Moravej added: “We’re really pleased to be working with Anxiety UK to help their members to better understand how they can eat healthily while also take steps to help address their anxiety, stress and anxiety-based depression by following some simple nutritional tips

“We have some exciting plans in place to ensure our collaborative work can make a real difference to people’s lives.”
